Market Overview:

This has been a major sales region for Alvan Blanch over 40 years, leading to the establishment of a very strong brand name.

Economic reforms are now starting to allow the huge potential of the region's agricultural sector to be realised, boosting much needed employment and wealth.

Improvements to farm mechanisation and in particular to post harvest crop preservation and processing are central to this revival. In which we are proud to say that Alvan Blanch products are playing a key role.

Main Products:

Our main activity in the region relates to designing and supplying complete systems for the processing, drying, cleaning of crops such as coffee, rice, maize (flour milling), sorghum (malting), groundnuts, sesame, palm kernel (oil expelling), ginger, cassava (into chips, flour), pulses, fruit and tomato (juice, concentrate and paste), sugar, salt & spices.

Feed Milling – for the on-farm and commercial production of mash and pellets for poultry, fish and cattle – is another key line. We also supply a wide range of tractor operated farm machinery.

Warehouse Receipt System brings hope to farmers in Uganda
Even with the source of the Nile river situated here, the eastern Ugandan town of Jinja has been struggling. In the 1970s, the textile, steel and sugar industries collapsed, as did the matchbox, hoe and paper enterprises. Through the Warehouse Receipt System, however, P4P is contributing to the town’s bid for a revival and changing lives in the Busoga region and beyond.
